Jetson's Packaging
This project lit within me an immediate love for packaging and all the unique ways intuitive and intentional design can enhance the product inside. The brief required that I select a pre-existing brand that appealed to kids in the 1960s and create packaging for a toy based on that brand. It forced me to design outside of my personal experience and required extensive research just to get my footing. Once I picked the Jetsons, I then moved to Illustrator to create the 2-dimensional designs. I chose simple geometric forms and a 60’s inspired color palette of bright blues, pinks, and greens to match the vintage but futuristic tone of the show. In addition to constructing the packaging, I also made matching pins as a bonus prize to include inside.
